Ayatollah Hassan Ali Nakhodaki (ra) went with his father to his first teacher, Muhammad Sadiq, in a state where he was not even at the age where religious responsibilities became obligatory on him. Despite this, he was fasting when he met Muhammad Sadiq, who offered him something to eat. Hasan Ali Nakhodaki (ra), despite being in a state of fasting, took it and ate it.

Muhammad Sadiq was surprised and said, "Son, didn't you know you can't eat while fasting?" Ayatollah Hassan Ali Nakhodaki (ra) replied, "You told me and I obeyed." Muhammad Sadiq then said, "Wherever you will reach, you will reach because of this obedience!" (Meaning he will reach high stations because of this obedience)
