Never Hit Your Children!

A person narrates about Shaykh Rajab Ali Khayyat (ra):

"I had a 2-year-old son who would often wet his pants and the carpet. Once, his mother slapped him so hard that he couldn't breathe. After an hour, she developed a fever and her condition worsened, so we took her to the doctor. We paid around 60 Tomans for her treatment, but her condition still didn't improve. Later that night, we were going to a meeting, and my wife, who was still unwell, was in the car with us. We gave a ride to Shaykh Rajab Ali Khayyat (ra). When he got into the car, I informed him that my wife had a high fever and her condition wasn't improving.

Shaykh looked outside and said to my wife, 'The way you hit your child was wrong. Never hit him like that again. Seek forgiveness (astaghfar), show him love, buy something for him, and give it to him. InshaAllah, your fever will come down.'"

The father mentioned that we followed his advice, and she recovered from the fever.
