When someone was talking with him he (sawa) would not become silent until he became silent, and he was never seen stretching his leg forward in front of the person sitting with him. He did not choose between two options except that which was the more difficult of the two.

The Prophet (sawa) accepted the gift and ate all the grapes himself, which surprised his companions as he usually shared such gifts. When asked why he didn’t offer them to others, the Prophet (sawa) explained, “I ate all the grapes because they were sour. I didn’t want to offer them to you and risk seeing you make faces of distaste, which might have hurt the feelings of the kind man who gifted them.
