Biography of Prophet Muhammad (sawa)

Prophet Muhammad (sawa) is the central figure of Islam, entrusted with the mission of advancing monotheism and morality. As the last prophet of God, he (s) fulfilled a role that extended beyond spiritual guidance to include social reform and political leadership. His major miracle, the Qur'an, stands as a testament to his divine mission and continues to inspire millions.

Early Life and Background

Born on 17th Rabi-ul-Awal, 570 A.D in Makkah, Hejaz, Prophet Muhammad (sawa) was the beloved son of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib (as) and Hazrat Amina bint Wahb (as). His lineage and heritage placed him among the most esteemed families in the Arabian Peninsula. He is known to have 99 names near Allah, reflecting the profound respect and veneration he commands. His agnomen (kunya) was Abul Qasim.

Reverence in the Qur'an

In the Qur'an, Allah never directly addresses Prophet Muhammad (sawa) by name, opting instead for titles that honor his exalted status. This deliberate choice underscores the profound respect and sanctity associated with the Prophet’s role. Titles such as "the Messenger" and "the Prophet" highlight his elevated position and divine mission, emphasizing that his exemplary character transcends mere personal address.

The Prophet’s Departure

Prophet Muhammad (sawa) passed away on 28th Safar, 11 AH in the city of Medina, Hejaz. His death was caused by poisoning, an event that marked the end of his earthly mission but left a lasting legacy.
