Balancing Spirituality and Daily Responsibilities

"The wayfarer must deal with his daily affairs during the day. If he is a student, he should seek knowledge, and if he is a businessman, he should seek business and earn a living.

But instead, the wayfarer should polish the dust of negligence and the rust of the dispersion (کثرت) that sit on his heart during the day, with tears and sighs, and in the loneliness of the night with the Lord, and fill the cup of the heart with the wine of Oneness (وحدت).

He must earn for his Hereafter at night to spend during the day, otherwise he will die empty-handed."
