Azadari of Munkir & Nakir

When the great Arif & Ayatollah of Mashhad Ayatollah Hassan Ali Nakhodaki (rh) died in Mashhad on 17th Shaban 1361 A.H., a believer saw him in his dream, and asked him what happened. He replied:

"When I was laid in the grave, the two angels Munkir and Nakir came to me and began to question me. They asked me about Toheed and Nabuwwat, and I answered. After that, they asked me about Imamate. So I started telling the names of the Imams- I took the name of Amirul Momineen Ali (as), I took the name of Imam Hasan Mujtaba (as). When I took the name of Imam Hussain (as), I recalled his sufferings and suddenly I started crying, then both the angels also started crying.

After that, they looked at each other and said: "Let him free, his matter is between him and Imam Hussain (as), there is no need to ask questions." And then they left.
